Just watched the replay! Loved this and would be very interested in more cranial nerve sessions. I noticed that I yawned quite a few times during this session. Do you think that could be bc we were stimulating vagus?

Hi Celeste, thank you for your videos :) I was wondering if this logic apply to bulge discs that are bulging to the side? I have a new student who has an L5 bulging to the right. I'll be doing a combination of Yin and Vinyasa with her. I understand that moving in the opposite direction could help the bulge move back but also that (in yin postures in particular) this might lead to an imbalance. Thank you in advance for any information you have regarding this :)
hey lovely, thanks for your curiosity on this subject. It’s hard to say if the opposing movement will “move the bulge back”. We aren’t too sure anymore on the science of claims like this. However one thing you can do is get her moving in all directions within her pain-free range. This will ensure she has a map for a variety of movements in her daily life, which will set her up for success. Go slow and explore but remember to encourage her to move without fear.

yes! a couple of times a day is perfect.
Amazing information, and yes, I was doing it in the right order, but I didn't know about the back of the leg. I'm going to practice this daily to get more relief. All the areas mentioned are a lot of the areas I struggle with when I'm not feeling well. Nutrition and movement are so good for better health and feeling better😊 Thank you 🧡

What about one leg balancing poses? I thought they’re a “don’t” 🤔
Standing on one leg is a basic functional action that all people, including those with a disc issue, should be able to do. We need single leg weight bearing to climb up stairs and during walking. Fear avoidance of movements will hinder progress and the research shows can exacerbate symptoms.

People around me are so confused of how I do yoga so regularly when I'm fat and dont seem active 😅 until they see how flexible and fit I am even with the extra weight

HI there - so sorry you're in pain. Deadlifts will be the answer....under load with either resistance bands of a weight are a great way to stretch the tendons or reduce inflammation.
